Two men have been arrested after police officers saw a package of suspected drugs thrown from a car window.
Officers on patrol on St Lukes Road, Southport, at 4.40pm on Saturday noticed a Vauxhall Astra they suspected was being driven without insurance.

The package, later recovered by an officer, contained small wraps of suspected class A drugs.
A large amount of cash was also seized after the car was stopped on Sussex Road.
A 33 year-old man from the Birkdale area was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class A (crack cocaine).
A 44 year-old man from Southport was also arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class A (cocaine), driving a vehicle while unfit through drugs and fail to stop.
Both men's homes were raided.
They have since been released under investigation pending further enquiries.
These arrests follow those of two other men arrested for drug offences by Operation Pelican Officers on duty in Southport earlier in the week.
