Two men were arrested after police found drugs, cash, suspected stolen items and a number of mobile phones.
Officers noticed the grey Audi A4 just after 9am on Coronation Road in Crosby.
A stop and search found a large amount of cash and mobile phones which "could not be accounted for".
During a subsequent search of a property on Coronation Road, officers seized drugs, drug paraphernalia, and numerous suspected stolen items.
Merseyside Police confirmed a 53-year-old man from Crosby was arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of Class A drugs, and a 32-year-old from Fazakerley was arrested on suspicion of possession of criminal property.
The two men were further arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply class A drugs, and were taken to custody for questioning.
Sergeant Paul Yih said: “Operations such as this are vital in disrupting criminal activity, and thanks to the quick thinking of the officers on patrol, we were able to detain two men, retrieve stolen property, and potentially disrupt a number of drug deals.
“Drugs cause misery within our communities and we will continue to target those involved in this criminality, but we cannot do that without the support of the public and so I would continue to ask our local community to contact us if they have information which could assist us.”
