Three men armed with a knife burst into a home in Leigh and demanded a family hand over money in a terrifying burglary.
The thugs forced their way into the house on Gordon Street at around 9.15pm on Tuesday (December 13). Police said a woman - aged in her 20s - and her family were at home at the time of the incident.
One of the men, who was carrying a 'large knife', demanded money from the family. The woman was left injured in the incident and will need surgery on her hand, police added.

Police said one of the males is described as being white and around 5ft 11in tall, of stocky build with brown eyes. He had brown, medium-length hair and a Wigan accent.
One of the other males is described as being a white male, of skinny build who was around 5ft 10in tall. The third male is described as a tall male.
Officers are urging anyone with information to come forward. They particularly want to speak to anyone who might have footage, including dashcam or doorbell, from the area before the incident.
Detective Riyaz Patel, of Wigan CID has said: "This was an incredibly traumatic ordeal for the victims where three men forced their way in. One of the males was carrying a weapon, believed to be a large knife, and threatened the family for money.
"We urge anyone who may have been in the area that night to come forward. No matter how small you think the information may be, it could prove vital to the investigation and help identify the suspects."
