Two men have appeared in court charged with attempted murder after a man was seriously injured in an alleged Renfrew flat attack.
It is claimed Gavin Strachan, 39, and Stephen Paterson, 38, both from Renfrew, attacked the 38-year-old man in the town’s Paisley Road on Monday afternoon.

The pair are also charged with assault and robbery linked to a separate alleged incident.
They appeared on Petition at Paisley Sheriff Court today where they made no plea or declaration.
Both were remanded in custody and are expected to make a second appearance in connection with the case within eight days.
