What’s Going To Happen
Memphis was able to play defensively in the win over Ole Miss, and it got the offense going against Southern. Now the attack should be able to roll at will despite going on the road against a South Alabama team coming off a nice win over Jackson State.
Maybe.
The Jaguars gave Nebraska’s offense a rough time in the opener, and overall it’s doing a great job on third downs with a solid start from the secondary.
They’re able to hold on to the ball, control the clock, and control the tempo, but … there’s a massive turnover problem. USA has given it up eight times so far, and there will be more giveaways coming up.
The Jaguar D will keep the Tigers from going off, but MU QB Brady White will have another solid game to take away USA’s big advantage. Memphis is great at owning the time of possession battle, too.
The Tigers will capitalize on the opportunities that South Alabama won’t, but it’ll be a closer fight than expected.
