Memphis Depay sends Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba message following injury update

Memphis Depay has sent former Manchester United teammate Paul Pogba a message of support following his latest injury update.

Pogba is currently undergoing rehabilitation from ankle surgery as he fights to regain fitness and return to action for United this month.

The French midfielder has been hard at work at the Nad Al Sheba Sports Complex in Dubai, doing individual exercises with a personal trainer as he steps up his regime.

Pogba did not travel on United's winter break training camp to Marbella with the rest of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's squad, however injured duo Scott McTominay and Axel Tuanzebe did.

The World Cup winner returned to the first-team over the festive period but soon needed to undergo an operation on the problematic ankle that has restricted him to just eight appearances in all competitions this season.

Taking to social media on Wednesday morning the 26-year-old posted the latest injury update to his Instagram account which showed him undergo a more intense strength-based regime.

Pogba uploaded the video to his personal account in which he says: "Four weeks after surgery. Feeling good."

Lyon winger Memphis Depay was among the thousands of people to reply to the post, and posted a message of support to his close friend in the comments.

"Soon" the Dutch international wrote along with three flame emojis. Memphis is himself currently sidelined with injury and is expected to miss the rest of the season after he ruptured his anterior cruciate knee ligament.
