Memphis Depay is among the thousands of people to have wished Timothy Fosu-Mensah a speedy recovery following his successful surgery.
The Manchester United defender has undergone knee ligament surgery after his season was cut short by injury while playing for loan-club Fulham earlier in the month.
Fosu-Mensah returned to United this month after a mixed season away from the club. Although he continued his development in the top-flight, the 21-year-old made only 13 appearances for Fulham this season as the club were relegated back to the Championship following just one year in the Premier League.
The Dutch defender posted an update from his hospital bed on Thursday evening in which he thanked fans for their continued support. "Operation went well," Fosu-Mensah said. "Thank you for the messages. God bless."
Depay, Frenkie de Jong, Wilfried Zaha, Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Callum Hudson-Odoi, Adnan Januzaj and Justin Kluivert were among the footballers who commented on the Instagram post wishing him a quick recovery.
As expected supporters were sent wild by these interactions, and wished the players to join Fosu-Mensah in representing United next season.
