Memorial to take place in tribute to 'shining star' Hannah Jane Inman who died in Blyth crash

A "car mad" young woman who lost her life in a crash will be remembered at a fitting memorial on Sunday.

Hannah Jane Inman, 21, died when the car she was a passenger in was involved in a collision with a HGV, on Coniston Road in Blyth, on Tuesday night.

Her heartbroken family released a tribute saying: "Hannah you shining star, you’ll be sadly missed.

"You were bright, beautiful and had a bubbly personality. Your kindness touched everyone who ever met you.

"Sleep tight angel, love you always."

Now Hannah's close friend Darylè Brown has organised a memorial event and hopes as many people turn up as possible.

Friends, family and people from the North East car scene will meet on Coniston Road near Blyth Industrial Estate at 7pm on Sunday.

There will be a memorial convoy before everyone gathers for a minute of silence at 8.20pm followed by a 'minute of noise' at 8.21pm.

"She just loved cars and noise. Any popping or banging coming from cars she just loved so it was right to do that," Darylè, who met hannah through a car event, said.

"During that we're going to have purple smoke grenades going off as that was her favourite colour. People are also decorating their cars with purple ribbons.

"It's been a terrible time for everyone and we just don't want anyone to miss this gathering because they don't know about it.

"The family are behind us, the police are behind us and local businesses have said we can use their car parks."

On Tuesday, police received a report of a collision between a yellow Skoda Fabia and a HGV at around 8.20pm.

Hannah, from Stockton-on-Tees, was a passenger in the Skoda and was taken to hospital along with the male driver.

But nothing could be done to save her life and she was later pronounced dead.

The 22-year-old driver of the Skoda and the 38-year-old driver of the HGV were not seriously injured.

Darylè, 26, is asking that no one turns up earlier than 7pm on Sunday to allow the family some private time to pay their respects alone.

The convoy will begin at 7pm starting at the old Tommee Tippee outlet in Cramlington led by Hannah's close friends.

They are asking for anyone with loud cars to take part in the minute of noise to "give her the night she deserves".

Darylè added to anyone attending the event: "Police are in attendance so please remember be sensible and respectful.

"There has also been a change of plan and we will not be letting off balloons or lanterns.

"Most of all let's make Hannah proud and give her the night she deserves."
