Memorial bench vandalism condemned by Perth residents

A memorial bench desecrated by vulgar graffiti has been condemned by local residents.

“Slag Mag” was scrawled across a Norie Miller park bench dedicated to the memory of a Perth resident.

When the image of the vandalised bench was shared on Facebook last week it caused outrage.

Posting a photo of the bench a resident wrote: “As I was out for my walk today at Norie Miller I was really shocked that some people can be so low to graffiti on a personalised bench of someone’s loved ones!

"Especially in a time like this! How disrespectful and heartless! Very sad to see.”

Perthshire residents reacted with horror and called the act “absolutely disgusting” and “disgraceful behaviour.”

A spokesperson from Perth and Kinross Council told the PA workers immediately attended to it on Monday (January 25).
