Melvin Ingram pegs Chargers as having ‘Best D-Line’ in NFL

The Chargers pick of defensive tackle Jerry Tillery should have all supporters excited for this upcoming season. It’s safe to say that defensive end Melvin Ingram is ecstatic, too.

Ingram was roaming the streets of Los Angeles this past weekend when reporters of TMZ Sports spotted him, and proceeded to ask him how he felt about the selection of the former Notre Dame product.

They specifically asked Ingram if him, Tillery and Joey Bosa were the best pass-rushing tandem in the league. Ingram went onto state that with the addition of Tillery, they were now the best defensive line in the NFL.

Watch the whole video below.

L.A. lost a few notables in Corey Liuget, Damion Square and Darius Philon. But they did manage to bring back Brandon Mebane and add Tillery and Cortez Broughton, who could go down as one of the steals of this draft.

To put them as the best defensive line this early on may be a bit rich, but they certainly have the pieces to earn that label when all is said and done.

Last year, L.A. finished the year with No. 9 best defense and the addition of Tillery and Broughton should only help improve that ranking in 2019.
