Melting Pot disco sessions to return to Queen's Park Arena this summer with Optimo on the decks

Melting Pot celebrate 20 years of bringing disco to the dance floor as they return to Glasgow’s southside this summer.

After a long year of empty dancefloors and lost summers, the team behind one of the UK’s longest-running club nights have announced they'll be celebrating 20 years of  Melting Pot  with partner  Heverlee with a weekend at Queen’s Park Arena.

Expect a soundtrack influenced by some of New York’s most famous venues of that era including Paradise Garage and Studio 54 on Satuday August 14, with Optimo taking the reigns on Sunday August 15.

The DJ duo threw the rule book out the window and made Sunday nights the new Saturday night for almost two decades during their world-renowned Sub Club residency – so this should be a fitting return.

Melting Pot and Heverlee are also partnering with creative music and artist projects going on in the southside with Radio Buena Vida community radio, Some Great Rewards Record Store and local artist Molly Hankinson, who created the Queen’s Park Disco Sessions artwork.

The venue is intimate and demand is expected to be high, therefore a pre-registration has been set up which allows an opportunity to buy 24 hours before general release.

Pre-release sale tickets go live at noon on Thursday here with general sale at noon on Friday.
