Melting Pot closing party at Queen's Park Arena Bandstand cancelled due to adverse weather

This coming Sunday's closing party for the Melting Pot+ Heverlee series of events at Queen's Park Arena Bandstand in the south side of Glasgow has been cancelled due to adverse weather conditions.

The party, which was due to see performances by Detroit Swindle and Tim Sweeney, will not go ahead as planned, with a Met Office Yellow weather warning in place for heavy rain and thunderstorms.

The organisers posted on Twitter that due to the weather, they've made the "difficult decision to cancel" the event. And while they are "massively disappointed", they hope they have come up with a great alternative to those who had tickets.

All tickets for Sunday's event will now be valid for Saturday's party, with Tim Sweeney joining forces with Mr Scruff at the bandstand from 4pm until 10pm in the main arena.

Failing that, anyone who is unable to make the Saturday show and has purchased a ticket for the Sunday is eligible for a refund.
