April 15--U.S. Cellular Field will soon get to add another film to its imdb.com page.
"Michelle Darnell" is scheduled to film May 12 and 13 at the White Sox's ballpark, according to 4 Star Casting's Facebook page. The Universal Pictures comedy stars Melissa McCarthy -- an alum of Joliet's St. Francis Academy, now Joliet Catholic Academy -- and is directed by her husband and Carbondale native Ben Falcone.
McCarthy plays Darnell, a self-help guru trying to rebrand herself after serving time in prison for insider trading. Darnell is based on a character McCarthy created as a member of The Groundlings comedy troupe in Los Angeles. Peter Dinklage, Kristen Bell, Kristen Schaal and Kathy Bates co-star in the film, which has already begun shooting in Atlanta.
A spokesperson for the Chicago Film Office said "Michelle Darnell" will only shoot in Chicago for one or two days.

McCarthy revealed that she is a Cubs fan and Falcone said he is a Philadelphia Phillies fan during an interview with mlb.com's "Express Written Consent," in case you're wondering. The couple said they also cheer for the Los Angeles Dodgers.
