Melinda Messenger is latest star to sign up to Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins

Melinda Messenger has reportedly signed up for Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins.

The former model made a return to the headlines recently when she wowed fans as she showed off her grey hair. And she is expected to be back in the spotlight for the upcoming series of the Channel 4 show, alongside some other big celebrity names.

It has been reported that Melinda will join the show for the upcoming series. Another series - starring the likes of Maisie Smith, Ashley Cain and AJ and Curtis Pritchard - is currently airing on Channel 4.

Melinda is best known for her days as a glamour model and also appeared on a number of reality shows including Celebrity Big Brother and Dancing On Ice. Celebrity SAS will be her next show, according to The Sun.

A spokesperson for the Channel 4 show said: "In the best traditions of the SAS, this mission is confidential.

"However, full details will be released when the series broadcasts next year. In the meantime, tune into the current series of Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins, Sunday nights at 9pm on Channel 4."

Melinda recently returned to social media and showed off her stunning grey locks, as s he fumed at the trolls who posted 'ageist' comments about her and criticised her for showing off her natural hair.

"Hello loves. So I had some feedback on my picture of my grey hair, which is coming through slowly but it’s getting there, and the fact that I wasn’t wearing any make-up, which is bizarre," she shared at the time.

"There were some really lovely comments - and then lots of very anti-ageing comments. 'Oh my god you look so old' and 'it just adds years to you', and it’s just this thing about ageing that some people seem to be really against when it’s such a natural thing and God willing, something we all get to experience. It’s happening for everyone so why be so against it, it’s very peculiar."

Melinda - who used to be a glamour model - explained how she had felt she covered up her grey hair and did her make-up because she "didn't really value who she was" and has now learned the importance of loving herself.

"I used to feel that I had to look a certain way, that I needed make-up and nice hair especially if I was going to be seen out in public. What I’ve come to understand is that it was because I didn’t really value who I was," she added.

"It’s taken me 51 years to see that I was always good enough (we all are) so I don’t want to spend the next years of life feeling I have to be anything other than just myself. I have finally given myself permission to just be. This doesn’t mean I’m not ever going to get a treatment or go out all done up. I will, but I will do that because it’s fun and because I want to."

She concluded: "Not because I don’t feel OK about myself just as I am. That way I tell the child inside of me, I love you just as you are so she can get on with the proper business of playing and loving life. #silversisters #greyhairtransition #letyourselfgo."
