Melbourne woman, 28, missing for 10 days

Bridget Flack has been missing from Melbourne since November 30. (AAP)

Angela Pucci Love says her life has been put "on hold" as the search for her missing sister Bridget Flack approaches its second week in Victoria.

Ms Flack, 28, was last seen on Lygon Street in Carlton on November 30.

She told a friend she was going for a walk at the Yarra Bend Park but never returned.

Ms Love said her sister's bank account has not been used since the day she went missing, while her phone stopped ringing on December 3.

"My life is hold on right now - this is a full time job," the 40-year-old woman told AAP on Thursday.

"It's awful - it's the worst limbo. Every minute takes so long to pass and because you've only got time, you just go around thinking of possible scenarios, situations and ideas.

"We're so desperately worried for her and we just want to know that she's safe."

Ms Flack had been struggling with mental health issues, her sister said, and received a hospital bed two days after she went missing.

A public Facebook group, Have You Seen Bridget?, has more than 3600 members, with a public search conducted around Melbourne and regional areas on Tuesday.

Ms Love also thanked Melbourne's LGBTIQ community for its strong support in the search.

"I've never met a better group of people in terms of their capabilities, love and genuine care for a member of their community," she said.

"It's so beautiful and I wish I didn't have to experience it in this way, but I'm also so grateful we have them in our corner."

Ms Flack is described as caucasian, about 170cm tall, with a thin build and shoulder-length brown hair.

Victoria Police will conduct an air and water search on the Yarra on Thursday, Ms Love said.

She urged members of the public to keep reporting any sightings of the missing 28-year-old woman.

"A person just can't disappear. Something has happened and someone must know something," Ms Love said.

"News becomes old very fast, but we don't want people to forget, so please keep looking. Our appreciation as a family for this support, love and care is appreciated so much."
