Melbourne weapon Munster set for NRL final

Cameron Munster's playmaking has been one of the keys to Melbourne reaching the preliminary final. (AAP)

Cameron Munster's return for Melbourne's NRL grand final qualifier against Canberra on Friday night is a "massive" inclusion, according to fullback Ryan Papenhuyzen.

There were fears five-eighth Munster could miss the Suncorp Stadium showdown after injuring his knee late in their qualifying final victory against Parramatta.

It's the third time this season the Storm playmaker has been hobbled by the right knee problem but Papenhuyzen said Munster would be ready to face the Raiders.

The pair have worked hard on their combination and are a huge attacking threat for Melbourne as they look to make the title match after bowing out in the final four last year.

"He's massive - there was a bit of carry-on last week against Parramatta but he's been running around the table tennis table," Papenhuyzen said on Tuesday.

"He's great to have and he's a massive weapon of ours and to have him in the team and fit is really important."
