Melbourne Storm players face interview with NRL Integrity Unit over post-season video

The NRL is looking into the social media videos of Melbourne Storm players in a room with what appears to show a white substance on the table. (Supplied)

A video appearing to show two Melbourne Storm players in a hotel room with a table with white substance on it is being investigated by the NRL.

In the videos, one player is sitting at the table, while another stands shirtless behind him.

A second video shows the shirtless player dancing on a table in what appears to be the same hotel room.

There are other unidentified people in the room in both videos.

The team said it was aware of the videos.

"The club and players involved are cooperating with the NRL Integrity Unit investigation," a Storm statement read.

Coach Craig Bellamy refused to speculate on the video after winning the Dally M coach of the year gong at Monday's end-of-season awards in Brisbane, but admitted these sort of incidents "hurt everybody" at the club.

"I don't know the full details yet. I don't want to be saying something and then it turn out not to be right."

It is another tough blow for the Storm to take, with the video emerging just two days after their premiership defence ended with a 10-6 loss to the Penrith Panthers in their preliminary final on Saturday.

The video started circulating on social media just hours before the awards ceremony in Brisbane, where Bellamy picked up his sixth coaching gong, Justin Olam was awarded centre of the year, and Brandon Smith was named the season's best hooker.

It is the second scandal in as many days for the NRL, after 19-year-old Warriors rookie Reece Walsh was arrested on the Gold Coast while in possession of cocaine.
