
Melbourne’s Northland Shopping Centre has gone into lockdown, with police confirming that they are currently responding to an alleged stabbing incident.
According to 9News, shoppers and staff have since been evacuated from Northland’s Shopping Centre in Preston after an alleged knife fight involving at least 10 people broke out.
The publication has also reported that two men have been arrested as police swarmed the centre at 2.30pm.

Per the Herald Sun, a police spokeswoman has said they were “responding to reports of numerous people fighting at a shopping centre on Murray Rd in Preston this afternoon”.
“The shopping centre has been locked down while the incident is ongoing,” she said at the time.
“When we have further information and have confirmed specifics, we will update all media. We do not have anything further at this stage.”
A spokesperson for Ambulance Victoria has said at least one person is being treated for injuries, ABC News reports.
