'Melbourne's best bartenders' will be serving up cocktails in a pub in the east end of Glasgow tomorrow. And there's a chance for you to get your hands on some free gin too.
That's because new Gallowgate bar, The Gate, will be hosting Melbourne outfit Fancy Free, in an 'exclusive bar takeover'.
Fancy Free are currently travelling around the globe as part of a world tour with Ableforth’s Bathtub Gin.
The Gate opened last month and has since received rave reviews, with dozens flocking to the new drinks venue which finds itself across the famous Barrowland Ballroom.
And they'll swinging open the doors at 251 Gallowgate to top mixologist Rob Libecans, co-founder of Fancy Free in Melbourne.
The Gate team say: "In a Scottish first and part of a never seen before tour of takeovers in seven cities, Melbourne’s best bartenders are coming to Glasgow as part of an exclusive world tour with Ableforth’s Bathtub Gin.
"Guests can expect their first Bathtub gin and tonic for free and then enjoy the tastiest of drinks from £6.
"Drinks on offer include house martinis, honey Burnback highballs and the Radio friendly Unit Shifter – a Sunday delight with strawberries and cream tea, Rumbellion rum and aloe vera green tea.
"The takeover tour is celebrating the seven-day cold-compounding process that creates Ableforth’s Bathtub Gin.
"Starting in Atlanta, the Ableforth’s team have been spending their week visiting some of the world’s best bars with some of the industry’s best bartenders in tow to create showstopping cocktails every night for seven consecutive days. The line up has includes award winning venues such as Lyaness, Black Pearl, Little Red Door and Panda & Sons and finishes in Glasgow at The Gate."
