Police have raided a home in Dandenong amid an investigation into the fatal house fire that killed 27-year-old Katie Tangey in January.
Arson and Explosives Squad detectives executed a search warrant at a home in Melbourne’s south-east on Thursday morning, where they seized a number of mobile phones that are expected to undergo forensic examination.
The devices will be combed for data that could uncover the identity of the offenders behind the deadly arson, as reported by the Herald Sun. No arrests were made at the scene.

The raid follows a number of anonymous reports received by police related to the arson, including a call where a pseudonym was given, per 9News. Police have urged the caller to make further contact to provide additional information.
Police believe the fatal fire earlier this year was the result of a targeted arson attack linked to the illicit tobacco trade, however the culprits targeted the wrong house.
Tangey died after arsonists hit the wrong address while she was house-sitting her brother’s home on Dover Street, Truganina in the early hours of January 16.
She, along with the family’s golden retriever, died at the scene. The three-storey townhouse was completely destroyed.

Previously obtained CCTV showed a dark coloured BMW X3 or X5 driving north on Forsyth Rd in Truganina at 2.12am.
A ring camera also captured the moment the house was in flames, before two men — one carrying what appeared to be a jerry can — fled the scene.

In April, officers released an image of a person of interest in the firebombing incident.
“Investigators know Katie Tangey was completely innocent and had nothing to do with the illicit tobacco trade,” police said in a statement on Thursday, per 9News.
A “significant investigation” is ongoing to determine the motive of the attack and track down those responsible.
“We know this is solvable, and we know we are getting closer. If you know absolutely anything, I cannot implore you enough to find it in yourself to do the right thing and come forward,” said detective inspector Chris Murray.
“We are absolutely determined to provide what closure and justice we can to the family of Katie Tangey.
“I know Katie’s family would want nothing more than to see her live out the whole life she had ahead of her, but the least we can do is make sure those responsible for this tragedy are held accountable for their actions.”
Anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or submit a confidential report online.
