Siobhan Staff, one of Australia’s most successful young sopranos returns to Melbourne to play the music of Eric Wolfgang Korngold with pianist Eidit Golder. Korngold’s late romantic compositional style was out of fashion during his lifetime, yet within the past few decades, his music has been afforded a radical reappraisal. A reawakening of interest in his music with its intoxicating harmonies and melodies have put his work on par with Richard Strauss. Experience it with the Melbourne Art Song Collective.
