Melanie Sykes looks incredible at 51 as she shares post-holiday snap

Melanie Sykes looks fabulous at 51 as she showed off her incredible abs after a workout.

The former Boddingtons girl from Mossley posed in a tiny pair of shorts and cropped sports top as she took a selfie.

She shared the snap on her Instagram as she told how she just keeps feeling 'better and better.'

Having just completed an hour long workout she wrote: "I’m a sweaty mess but very happy. Just a set of dumbbells and me."

Mel, who is part of the Celebrity Masterchef 2021 line-up, says she started working out with weights again following a recent birthday and work trip to Venice where she indulged on pasta, tiramisu and gelato.

"About three weeks ago I sprained my foot so could only do gentle yoga," she explained.

"On my recent holiday, after eating copious amounts of pasta, tiramisu and gelato (which was divine) it’s time to get back to maintaining my healthy body keeping my core strong and me balanced.

"My endorphins are high and my body feels good. I alternative yoga and then weights daily and it’s working for me. Find your groove."

And she advised: "I encourage you all to stay active, maintain your core strength and flexibility, which will help you have a much happier, active life.

"I’ve just celebrated my 51 birthday and I just keep feeling better and better.

"As they say, ‘healthy body, healthy mind."

The Radio 2 presenter, who came third on I'm A Celebrity ... Get Me Out Of Here! in 2014, added: "If you are already on it well done you and if you’re not, there is no time like the present.

"My affirmation card came up today as 'my exquisite female body radiates loving kindness to the world.'"

As she left Venice the birthday girl shared a stunning photo of herself on a boat on the Grand Canal with some parting words for the city.

"Ciao for now beautiful Venice you & your people have my heart," she wrote.

Mel, who has two sons Roman and Valentino, shot to fame as the face of the Boddingtons adverts in the 90s when it was then known as the 'Cream of Manchester.'

Model Melanie famously popped her head out of an ice cream van in one of the ads with a pint of bitter instead of a cone to say “do you want a flake in that love?”

She was also known for asking Tarquil "are your trollies on't right way round?"
