The romance between Melanie Sykes and Steve Coogan has come to an end amid rumours of commitment issues.
Model and presenter Mel, 49, was first linked to 54-year-old comedian Steve back in February after meeting at a launch party for his Bafta nominated film Stan & Ollie.
But the romance has petered out as we near the end of the year - with Mel reportedly deciding to pull the plug on the romance after 10 months.
In an interview with The Sun on Sunday, a source close to Mel said the former talk show host felt she had no option but to end the relationship as she saw her hopes of settling down fade away.

“Mel is gutted it didn’t work out - but although she is disappointed, she is not that surprised,” the source claimed.
“She was worried that he wasn’t committing and wasn’t keen on family stuff or getting too involved with her two teenage sons,” the source went on.
The source implied that the pair never grew too close over the space of their romance.

“They were together properly for at least six months, after a period of wooing. So they were close, but it never got too serious,” the source blabbed.
Over the years, Steve has enjoyed a string of high profile romances and was married to Caroline Hickman between 2002 and 2005.
He dated models China Shoe and Loretta ‘Elle’ Basey - and he has a 23-year-old daughter named Clare from his past relationship with lawyer Anna Cole.

Mel was married to actor Daniel Caltagirone between 2001 and 2009 and together welcomed sons Roman, 17, and Valentino, 15.
Mel later met and fell for roofer Jack Cockings, 32, after ‘meeting’ via Twitter.
The couple tied-the-knot in a lavish, star-studded ceremony in Dorset in May 2013 - but they divorced in 2016 amid allegations by Jack of Mel cheating and turning violent.
