Melania Trump wears sombre black Dior ensemble for D-Day commemorations in France

Following Donald Trump and Melania Trump's three-day visit to London, and an afternoon in Ireland, the couple headed to France on Thursday morning to continue the 75th anniversary commemorations of the D-Day landings.

Arriving in Normandy, the First Lady was dressed in a respectful chic all-black ensemble. The tailored coat featured a knee-length, A-line silhouette, tailored collar and four simple buttons down the front.

Out of respect to her host country, Melania chose French fashion house Dior for the second day in a row. Just 24 hours previously, Melania chose the label as part of a diplomatic ensemble consisting of British, French and American designers for a D-Day service with the Queen in Portsmouth.

The tonal outfit was paired with buckle-adorned patent court shoes and oversized dark sunglasses - a signature accessory of FLOTUS'.

Once touched down at Caen-Carpiquet Airport, the couple headed to Normandy American Cemetery where they met French president Emmanuel Macron and his wife, Brigitte Macron.
