Melania Trump hits out at the 'numerous inaccuracies' in GQ's profile of her

Melania Trump has lambasted a GQ profile of her, saying it was inaccurate and impinged upon her family's privacy.

The 45-year-old wife of Donald Trump and former model and watch designer criticised GQ magazine’s discussion of her family, accusing them of “disingenuous reporting”.

In the profile, the journalist Julia Loffe claims Melania has a secret half brother, Denis Cigelnjak, who the media has never reported upon. She also interviews the alleged brother who says he doesn’t think his half-sister’s, Ines and Melania, know he exists.

In a message posted on her Facebook, Melania has accused the journalist of having an agenda when pursuing her family.

“The article published in GQ today is yet another example of the dishonest media and their disingenuous reporting,” writes Melania. “Julia Loffe, a journalist who is looking to make a name for herself, clearly had an agenda when going after my family”.

“There are numerous inaccuracies in this article including certain statements about my family and claims on personal matters. My parents are private citizens and should not be subject to Ms. Ioffe’s unfair scrutiny,” she adds.

In the original piece, Melania is quoted as saying she was aware of her half brother’s existence, reportedly saying “I’ve known about this for years”.

Melania married the Republican presidential frontrunner in 2005 and gave birth to their son Barron William Trump in 2006.
