Mel Gibson in Glasgow to share life story at world exclusive black tie event

Braveheart legend Mel Gibson will be touching down in Glasgow next month as he attends a world exclusive intimate Black Tie Dinner event.

The 65-year-old, who took home the Oscars for Best Director and Best Picture back in 1995 for the William Wallace blockbuster, will by sharing his life story for the first time anywhere in the world, according to event organisers.

As reported by Glasgow Live, the actor will be interviewed on-stage to 'share untold stories and anecdotes from his life and unbelievable movie career' - which includes smash hits such as Lethal Weapon, Mad Max and Hamlet.

And organisers say that 'An Experience With Mel Gibson' will be a 'true once in a lifetime opportunity to get up close to one of the most significant names in Hollywood, and listen to his story live and unscripted for the first time anywhere in the world'.

The event will include a Big Band Orchestra with Rat Pack singer playing throughout the three course dinner, an auction of signed bespoke Mel Gibson memorabilia, as well as a live on stage bagpipe tribute to celebrate 26 years of 'Braveheart'.

'An Experience With Mel Gibson' takes place on Tuesday, November 16 at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Glasgow Central on Cambridge Street in the city centre.
