Mel B wears possibly the best Spice Girls outfit ever as she heads to the Etihad Stadium

The Spice Girls are wearing some eye-catching outfits on their Spice World reunion tour, but this outlandish ensemble sported by Mel B tops them all.

Melanie Brown, aka Scary Spice, wowed fans and had flashbulbs popping as she left the The Dakota Hotel on Friday afternoon for the Etihad Stadium for the Spice Girls' second night in the city.

Mel, who is known for her trademark leopard print catsuits, turned heads in an oversized camouflage pink coat embossed with gold crowns and a Scary Spice badge, on the slim chance that anyone might be left wondering who she was.

The back of the outlandish coat was emblazoned with the famous catchphrase from their breakthrough 1996 hit Wannabe, only Mel's jacket had it spelled as 'Zig-a-zig-ha' instead of 'ah.'

So, what's so funny Mel?

The mother-of-three teamed her coat with over-the-knee red socks and blush pink knee-high boots, and a matching fluffy headpiece.

Before heading to the Etihad she stopped to pose for selfies and sign autographs for fans delighted to have the Spice Girls in town.

Birthday girl Mel B celebrated her 44th birthday at the Etihad with her fellow Spice Girls on Wednesday night.

On Thursday she took time out to visit the Escape Reality experience at the Printworks, donning an orange boiler suit as enjoyed the interactive gaming experience with her dance troupe from the tour.

The Stop singer and her dancers braved the appropriately scary Enigmista room which sees participants take on a serial killer on the loose.

The first Spice Girls show of the three-night run a took a hilarious turn as the girls sang ‘happy birthday’ to Mel, and she couldn’t resist bringing up that Ginger Spice Geri Horner had left the 90s girl band on her birthday back in 1998.

She joked "you better not leave tonight you f****** bitch" - only for a giant leopard print cake to be wheeled out for her.

The birthday surprise then descended into chaos as Mel and Geri hurled cake at each other, and Scary complained that Ginger had 'broken' her outfit in the play fight.

The Spice World reunion tour, featuring the girl band's greatest hits and favourite album tracks, continues in Manchester tonight and Saturday night.
