Tensions are heightened ahead of the Spice Girls reunion tour after Mel B accused Geri Horner of “making her out to be a liar” over their alleged fling.
Mel, 43, has been left reeling after Geri, 46, released a statement saying claims that the two Spice Girls had sex and that their affair had lasted a year were “hurtful” to her family and had ruined Mother’s Day.
A pal of Scary Spice told the Mirror: “Mel is totally perplexed by Geri’s denials.
“Mel feels Geri is making her out to be a liar. She said, ‘It’s almost as if she is trying to erase our history.’”

Sources say they are dreading the start of rehearsals for the Spice Girls tour later this month. One insider said: “There is a lot of bad blood simmering away. It’s going to be interesting.”
Mel B said in a bombshell interview with Piers Morgan that she and Ginger Spice Geri had romped. And on Sunday further claims emerged that it was more than just a one-off.
But Geri hit back through her spokesman that evening. A statement said: “It has been very disappointing to read about all these rumours again, especially on Mother’s Day.
“She would like [the fans] to know that what has been reported recently is simply not true and has been very hurtful to her family.

“Moving forward, Geri can’t wait to see the girls and all the fans on tour, have an amazing time, and make some memories.”
Sources close to Geri confirm she is denying the fact they slept together completely.
They point to a radio interview Mel did in the days after the Morgan show aired where she played down the revelation.
Mel said: “I didn’t actually really admit anything. I just said we had a ‘thing’. It wasn’t a big deal. It was one of those things that happened one night. We giggled about it.”
