Spice Girls tour: Mel B celebrates with champagne and McDonald's meal after reunion gig

Mel B proved that she knows how to celebrate as she treated herself to a McDonald’s meal and a bottle of champagne after the Spice Girls reunion show in Coventry.

Dressed in a fleecy onesie in her trademark Scary Spice leopard print after the band’s latest stadium gig, the singer (real name Melanie Brown) shared a video of herself sitting on the pavement outside a service station to enjoy her snacks.

“Hey everyone, so I just ran off the stage with my four girls after an amazing show in Coventry and now I’m on my way up to see my mum and my pregnant sister because it’s her birthday,” she told her Instagram followers.

“Now I’m at the gas service station and I’ve got my posh champagne and I’ve got my McDonald’s. What more could a girl want?”

The Spice Girls tour continues with gigs in Sunderland, Edinburgh and Bristol before concluding with three nights at London’s Wembley Stadium.

The first dates on girl group’s packed schedule were blighted by reports of sound problems, with tweets sent by audience members complaining of “muffled and echoing” audio that left fans feeling “disappointed.”

Brown addressed the “sound issues” at the Dublin gig in an Instagram Story shared shortly after, promising fans: “We will see you in Cardiff and hopefully the vocals and the sound will be much, much better.”

Any problems appeared to have been ironed out before the band’s Manchester dates, however, and there have been no further reports of issues.

Addressing the criticism in a recent interview with BBC Breakfast, support act Jess Glynne slammed the reports as “a load of rubbish.”

“I honestly think it’s a load of rubbish,” she said. “I wouldn’t just say it, the show is amazing.

“I walked out to watch the show on the first night and it’s so emotional. I think people always try and find something.”
