Spice Girls singers Mel B and Geri Horner recently shocked the world as the news of their one night stand hit the headlines.
However, new reports from The Mail On Sunday suggest that there is actually much more to the story.
According to the publication, Melanie Brown and ginger spice Geri – formerly known as Geri Halliwell – had far more than a one off fling, and even dated for at least a year.
A pal of the pair reportedly said: "It was in the very early days of the Spice Girls and their relationship lasted far longer than one night – it was at least 12 months."

The insider added that their relationship was a case of "lust at first sight," and the pair grew very close instantly.
It wasn't long before Mel and Geri, then 18 and 21 – who were moved into the same house by management – shared a bed and became "absolutely inseparable".
While their band-mates would often leave the property on weekends, the tight duo were often said to stay there on their own.
"Geri’s father had not long passed away and she was hurting from that, while Mel was a long way from home. While things were very exciting for them, it was also daunting," the pal claimed.
"Both were very open-minded young women and they wanted to break boundaries."
The reports come after Mel confessed she and Geri had shared a night of passion back in the 1990s, after years of speculation.
Geri was said to be furious about the reveal, made during an interview on Piers Morgan's Life Stories, and is now reportedly refusing to speak to her.
Mel went on to insist her romp with Geri was just a "one night" thing and was "not a big deal".

Speaking to Aussie radio station 2DayFM , she said: "We've known each other for 20-plus years. It was just one of those things that happened one night. And I didn't go into detail about it at all.
"I just said it was a little thing and we giggled about it the next day and that's that.
"It's not a big deal, especially not in this day and age."

A representative of Geri denied the claims, exclusively telling Mirror Online: “Mel was Geri’s best mate in the band but they were never lovers. Those were the days where all five girls were living together and they spent every waking hour with each other.”
