Mehbooba Mufti says central agencies are targeting Shah Rukh Khan's son Aryan simply because his surname happens to be 'Khan'

PDP president Mehbooba Mufti took to her Twitter handle to last out at BJP citing the ongoing cruise drug bust case involving Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan.

According to her, instead of making an example out of the Union Minister’s son accused of killing four farmers, central agencies are after a 23 year old simply because his surname happens to be Khan.

She wrote, ‘Instead of making an example out of a Union Minister’s son accused of killing four farmers, central agencies are after a 23 year old simply because his surname happens to be Khan. Travesty of justice that muslims are targeted to satiate the sadistic wishes of BJPs core vote bank.’

Ever since the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) has arrested Aryan in their cruise drug raid, support has been pouring in for Shah Rukh and his family from all sides. While his friends like Salman Khan, Sanjay Kapoor, Karan Johar and others were spotted visiting the superstar at his residence, his other Bollywood counterparts have been asking him to stay strong through their social media posts.

Even fans have been showing their solidarity by standing with banners of King Khan outside Mannat.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Shah Rukh was all set to make his comeback after three years of sabbatical with Siddharth Anand’s ‘Pathan’ co-starring Deepika Padukone and John Abraham.

Apart from this, he also has projects like Rajkumar Hirani’s immigration drama, Atlee’s commercial entertainer and Raj-DK’s actioner in his pipeline.
