The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have arrived at a ceremony in London to laud the courage of seriously ill children and their families.

Meghan looked chic as she recycled her green engagement dress matched with a camel coat for the annual WellChild Awards at The Royal Lancaster Hotel.

The Duchess originally wore the £462 frock by P.A.R.O.S.H. when the royal couple announced their engagement in November 2017. She also previously wore the £1185 Sentaler coat to Christmas at Sandringham.

Meghan matched her outfit with a £688 tortoiseshell scarf bag and light brown £562 Manolo Blahnik heels.

Meanwhile Prince Harry looked similarly sleek in dark blue suit and light blue tie as they arrived at the awards holding hands.

The royal couple smiled as they were greeted by charity representatives ahead of a pre-ceremony reception.

Before the main awards ceremony, the pair met the young winners of each award category and their families as well as the nominated healthcare professionals.

Six-year-old Dexter Spence, from Exeter in Devon, impressed the royal couple after designing a fundraising T-shirt of a child with no hair while he underwent treatment for leukaemia.

The youngster sat crossed legged as he met the duke and duchess at the WellChild Awards in London, prompting 35-year-old Harry to attempt the same in his dark blue suit.

Harry said of the T-shirt: "I love that you came up with that idea just like that."

Dexter's mother, Josie Barron, told the PA news agency afterwards: "I'm really proud of Dexter and his award.

"He was really inspiring people through his social media channels, showing people what was happening with his treatment.

"I'm so proud of him, to win the award and meet Harry and Meghan is just wonderful."

Later, Prince Harry will present the Award for Most Inspirational Child (aged four-six) and deliver a speech.

The Duke of Sussex became Patron of WellChild in 2007, a national charity which supports children with serious illnesses and their families.

The WellChild Awards celebrate inspiring children who suffer with terrible illnesses in the UK, as well as praising the dedication of those who go the extra mile to keep the children healthy and happy.

This includes the outstanding health, social care and education professionals.
