Meghan Trainor channels her inner Barbie as she shows off 4 stone weight loss

Meghan Trainor channelled her inner Barbie girl on Sunday night as she stepped out in a hot pink jumpsuit during the American Music Awards 2022.

The 28-year-old singer showed off her slim figure at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, after recently revealing she lost 60 pounds (4 stone 2lbs) following the birth of her son Riley last year.

Meghan's plunging neon outfit was adorned with sequins and featured a snazzy diamanté clasp. The All About That Bass hitmaker paired her jumpsuit with bright pink platform heels.

She accessorised her look with a diamond necklace and silver rings, while continuing the pink theme with her eyeshadow.

Meghan wore her blonde hair parted to the side and styled it in loose waves.

She was seen mingling on the red carpet with a number of celebs including former child actor Chris Olsen, country music singer Jimmie Allen and actress Niecy Nash-Betts.

Meghan recently admitted she found herself in a "really dark place" following the birth of her son and was at her "heaviest" weight.

She said she weighed more than 200 pounds (14 stone) before giving birth via C-section and underwent a diet overhaul and new exercise regime to lose more than 60 pounds (4 stone).

"I just wasn’t feeling great. I’ve never had stitches, so to have this C-section scar, I was in a really dark place and I wanted to be in a great place for my son," Meghan said in an interview with ET Canada.

She added: "I worked every day and challenged myself. I was like, 'If I can survive a C-section, I can do anything'."

Meghan, who shares her son with her husband Daryl Sabara, said she started to feel "better than ever" after changing her lifestyle.

"I was very dedicated and I started seeing the pounds come off like one week at a time," she noted and added that her confidence grew to "a good eight or nine".

Meghan said she learned all about healthy eating during this time and grew to understand "what portions mean".

"I learned my brain is so happy when I exercise, so I’m just [feeling] better than ever," she added.
