It’s the royal wedding Beano-style, so what could possibly go wrong?
The iconic Scots comic is celebrating the big event in typical style – with a gang of characters breezing into the ceremony having all seemingly secured an invite.
This week’s edition predicts what would happen if the Beano cast did gatecrash the big event.
The comic reveals the royals have been getting secretly married in Beanotown since 1066 amid the Queen’s fears of a French invasion but their plan is foiled by Dennis and Gnasher.
The comic predicts The Bash Street Kids, Gnasher and Dennis the Menace will all be in attendance.
But disaster strikes as Gnasher eats the wedding cake. Dennis replaces the cake but he trips up, covering Meghan in it – and Meghan retaliates by starting a food fight.
Meanwhile, Prince Charles arrives at the wrong church and the Queen wants to return her Primark dress.
Beano boss Mike Stirling said: “Our invitation must have been eaten by Gnasher so we decided to immortalise the couple’s forthcoming nuptials in Beano instead.”
