Meghan Markle is using her new book to show Prince Harry is upset after being stripped of his military titles, a royal expert has claimed.
The Duchess of Sussex yesterday announced she has written a children's book about the relationship between a dad and a son which will be published next month.
The book, titled 'The Bench', features an illustration of a soldier, with ginger hair, who holds his little boy.
Royal author Phil Dampier has claimed that with her new book Meghan wants to show that her husband is upset after losing his military titles - which were removed after the Sussexes stepped down as senior members of the Royal Family.
Mr Dampier told The Sun : "Meghan is probably showing how much the Army meant to Harry and how upset he is to lose his military titles.
"For Harry, who put his life on the line and then founded the highly successful Invictus Games for injured servicemen and women, losing the titles was the bitterest part of ‘Megxit.’"
Meghan's book focuses on the special relationship between a dad and a son as seen through the mum's eyes, publisher Random House said on Tuesday.
"The Bench started as a poem I wrote for my husband on Father's Day, the month after Archie was born,'' Meghan said in a statement.
"That poem became this story."
Meghan said: "My hope is that The Bench resonates with every family, no matter the makeup, as much as it does with mine.”
The book's cover features her royal title, the Duchess of Sussex.
The picture book, published by Random House Children's Books, has been illustrated by award winning artist Christian Robinson, and the audiobook is narrated by Meghan.
A press release describes the book as a “touchingly captures the evolving and expanding relationship between fathers and sons and reminds us of the many ways that love can take shape and be expressed in a modern family”.
Meghan's bio describes her as a "mother, wife, feminist, and activist".
It continues: "Through the nonprofit work of the Archewell Foundation, she and her husband are committed to activating compassion in communities across the world.
"She currently resides in her home state of California with her family, two dogs, and a growing flock of rescue chickens."
