Meghan McCain has revealed an "olive branch" she says Donald Trump extended to her after years of her hitting back at his "pathetic" criticism of her father, the late Senator John McCain.
The former The View host, 41, spoke to the president's daughter-in-law, Lara Trump, on her podcast Citizen McCain, revealing for the first time that the president granted her permission to attend Tulsi Gabbard's confirmation at the White House.
"There were conversations behind the scenes of whether or not it would be appropriate for me to come, whether or not President Trump would be okay with me coming... I ended up having to get his permission, and he relayed the kindest message," she recalled.
