Meghan Markle left a special handwritten note for Prince Philip on a hand picked wreath as he was laid to rest at St George's Chapel.
Meghan, who was unable to attend the funeral due to her pregnancy, penned the personal note, which was left in the chapel earlier today, as reports The Mirror.
The Duchess of Sussex, who is expecting her second child with Prince Harry in he summer, stayed in their £11million mansion in California while he flew over to be with his family.
The wreath was made from locally sourced flowers including Acanthus mollis (Bear's breeches), the national flower of Greece, to represent Philip's heritage, and Eryngium (sea holly), to represent the Royal Marines.
It also features campanula for gratitude and everlasting love, rosemary for remembrance, lavender for devotion, and roses in honour of June being Philip's birth month.
It was handmade by Willow Crossley who also created flowers for Harry and Meghan's evening wedding celebrations in Frogmore Gardens and for the Sussexes' son Archie's christening.
Meghan, who is known for her skill at calligraphy, left the note to accompany the special tribute, which has not yet been pictured.
Princes William and Harry had been separated at the start of the funeral procession to walk behind the Duke's coffin.
They were later seen walking and exchanging words following the service.
It's the first time Harry has been seen in the UK since he officially quit the royal family last year, and just weeks after he made a series of shocking claims about his relatives in his interview with Oprah Winfrey.
