Meghan Markle will 'regret' cutting off estranged dad Thomas, says Wendy Williams

Wendy Williams predicted Meghan Markle will 'regret' cutting her father Thomas off from his grandchildren.

Following Meghan and Prince Harry's bombshell Oprah Winfrey interview, Thomas Markle said he felt as though the pair 'didn't care' about him when he was hospitalised with a heart condition after being 'erased' from their lives.

Relations between the father and daughter fell apart when Thomas admitted to staging paparazzi photos ahead of Meghan's 2018 wedding.

Thomas previously told Good Morning Britain that he had said sorry '100 times' for the deception but his daughter and her husband had 'ghosted him.'

Dissecting the feud on her US talk show, Williams said: "I'm team Thomas on this particular thing... He's an old man... He's apparently not well... He goes in and out of swollen ankles... He doesn't look spry at 76...

"He's got two grandchildren that he's never met. Meghan does not have to accept him all the way in her family. But maybe a little hideout one day in Malibu. And invite him over with no press involved.

"And maybe have him play with the grandchildren and have some scones, and then send him on his way. I just feel like at his age, and all he's been through in life.

"How bout maybe he just wants to hug his daughter and see his grandchildren?

"If Harry doesn't want to be involved fine, but if something detrimental happens to this man, she will regret it," suggested Williams.

Last week, Harry also spoke about the fractured relations with his father Prince Charles in a candid interview about his mental health. struggle.

During an appearance on Dax Shepard and Monica Padman's podcast, Armchair Expert, Harry slammed the parenting style of the royal family as inflicting 'pain and suffering' and said he was determined to break the cycle while raising his own kids.

"I don't think we should be pointing the finger or blaming anybody, but certainly, when it comes to parenting, if I've experienced some form of pain or suffering because of the pain or suffering that perhaps my father or my parents had suffered," said Harry.

"I'm going to make sure I break that cycle so that I don't pass it on," he vowed.

The 36-year-old dad went on: "It's a lot of genetic pain and suffering that gets passed on anyway, so we as parents should be doing the most we can to try and say 'you know what, that happened to me, I'm going to make sure that doesn't happen to you.

Harry's son Archie recently turned two-years-old while his wife Meghan is expecting a baby daughter.

Members of the royal family took to social media to wish Archie a happy birthday on May 6 after Meghan and Harry marked the occasion with an artsy photo of their boy clutching balloons.

It's thought the family haven't seen Archie, who now lives in Los Angeles with his parents, in over a year.
