Meghan Markle 'will get into hot water' with Queen if she discusses this important topic

Meghan Markle seems to be doing things her own when it comes to settling into life in the Royal Family.

Her first solo project, her engagements and plans for her first child have been anything from traditional, and people are loving her modern style.

She's spoken passionately about issues that are important to her, including feminism and education, but there is reportedly one topic the Queen doesn't want her discussing.

In her book Harry: Life, Loss and Love, royal expert Katie Nicholl says: "There's no problem with Meghan speaking out on feminism, social justice and equality issues, but if she starts getting political she'll be in hot water.

Details of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's second date revealed - and it's was very special

"The Queen is politically neutral. She expects her family to do the same."

Before marrying Prince Harry , Meghan spoke openly about her political views.

During an interview about Donald Trump in 2016 she said: "It's really the moment that I go, we film Suits   in Toronto and I might just stay in Canada.

"I mean come on, if that's reality we are talking about, come on, that is a game changer in terms of how we move in the world here.

"Yes of course Trump is divisive. Think about just female voters alone.

Meghan Markle's baby 'will become dual-US citizen and be liable for taxes'

"I think it was in 2012, the Republican Party lost the female vote by 12 points. That's a huge number and with as misogynistic as Trump is and so vocal about it, that's a huge chunk of it."

As head of state, the Queen is unable to vote and always keeps her political views to herself.

However she is very involved in it and meets with the Prime Minster at least once a week to receive updates on key decisions and political matters.

She also has a ceremonial role and has to officially open Parliament, grant Royal Assent to legislation, approve Orders and Proclamations through the Privy Council.
