As discussions regarding her and Harry’s decision to step down as senior members of the Royal Family were underway at Sandringham earlier this week, Meghan kept a low profile in Canada, turning her attention to her philanthropic work.
Meghan visited the Downtown Eastside Women’s Centre in Vancouver on January 14, where she had tea with organizers for the nonprofit and joined them in discussing various issues facing women in the community.
Wearing a casual oversized sweater and fitted jeans, Meghan accessorized with a gold necklace that’s become a recent favorite. The pendant is from Canadian jeweler Suetables and represents her son Archie, as it features his zodiac sign, Taurus.
Meghan previously layered the 14k yellow gold necklace with a similar design from the brand, representing Harry with his Virgo symbol.
In the past, Suetables has shared the Duchess’ exact design of choice, making her look easy to mimic. Meghan’s pendant for Archie is the Vanessa Coin Zodiac, $159, while Harry’s is the 10k gold Shirley Horoscope, $79. To further personalize the design, the brand offers several different chain options. According to Suetables' earlier post, Meghan wore both a shorter 14-inch 10k gold thick curb chain and 20-inch 10k thick curb chain.
The brand works with small silver houses and local artisans to craft its jewelry and partners with nonprofit organizations including The Special Olympics.
Meghan loves to give a shout out to Canadian brands with her sartorial choices whenever possible, so her latest jewelry choice from Suetables isn’t totally surprising. In the past, she’s gone a more luxe route with yellow gold and opal stud earrings, $995, from Birks.
Regardless of designer, the Duchess’ jewelry collection highlights dainty rings and necklaces that can be worn on their own or paired together for a more customizable look.
