Meghan Markle was 'banned by Royal Family from getting coffee out with her mum'

Meghan Markle was banned from going out with her worried mum for coffee during a summer visit, it has been claimed.

It's alleged that during a visit to Frogmore Cottage neither Meghan nor her mum Doria Ragland were allowed to go into the town of Windsor to pick up coffees.

A source reportedly said that Doria told Meghan 'you're stuck in here.'

Audiences heard a slew of sensational claims during the explosive Harry and Meghan two-hour interview with Oprah earlier this month.

Among the various claims was that racist comments were made about the colour of their children's skin.

Oprah revealed that Harry stressed “it was not his grandmother or grandfather who were part of those conversations.”

The two-hour programme is now set to be watched by more than 100million people.

Fashion magazine Harper's Bazaar reports that during her time in Frogmore Cottage in the summer of 2019 Meghan was isolated.

The publication writes: "Her isolated existence stood out in particular to her worried mother, Doria Ragland, who during a summer 2019 visit to Frogmore Cottage was surprised to discover that neither she nor her daughter was able to go out into Windsor town to pick up coffees.

"'You’re stuck in here,' Doria told Meghan at the time, according to a source."

The piece was written by Omid Scobie, one of the authors of Finding Freedom, a book about Meghan and Harry's decision to quit the so-called 'firm' and strike out on their own in the United States.

In the wake of the bombshell interview with Oprah the Royal Family responded with a statement issued by Buckingham Palace.

It read: "The whole family is saddened to learn the full extent of how challenging the last few years have been for Harry and Meghan.

"The issues raised, particularly that of race, are concerning. Whilst some recollections may vary, they are taken very seriously and will be addressed by the family privately.

"Harry, Meghan and Archie will always be much loved family members."
