Meghan Markle tells mums that Archie sees her and Prince Harry as 'superheroes'

Meghan Markle told other mums that Archie sees her and Prince Harry as "superheroes" during a surprise visit to raise the spirits of parents who have struggled during the pandemic.

The couple virtually popped into a session run by women's advocacy group MomsRising, which offers support to mums who are feeling the effects of unemployment, lack of childcare and health issues because of the Covid crisis.

Meghan, who is pregnant with a baby girl, reminded the group to see themselves as their children see them whenever they are experiencing self-doubt.

After the meeting, the organisations executive director and CEO, Kristin Rowe-Finkbeiner, said: "The meeting with Prince Harry and Meghan was a huge boost for MomsRising members, some of whom are struggling without jobs, child care, paid leave, health care, and other essentials during the pandemic", reports Hello! magazine.

She continued: "The Duke and Duchess were kind, compassionate, and incredibly supportive, both on a personal level and of the policies that would help get their lives back on track.

"The Duchess also reminded us that, especially in times of self-doubt, we should take the opportunity to see ourselves through our children's eyes. Because to our children, we're superheroes. That really resonated with so many of us."

Meghan and Harry welcomed little Archie in 2019, and the royal tot is set to become a big brother later this year.

The Queen's great-grandson is growing up in LA after his parents quit the royal family last year, and has the hint of an American accent.

Proud dad Harry gave an update on his little boy during an interview with James Corden for The Late Late Show, including revealing his first word.

While most kids say 'mumma' or 'dadda' first, Archie's was more unusual - crocodile.

Harry explains: "My son is just over a year and a half. He's hysterical. He's got the most amazing personality."

"He's already putting three, four words together, he's already singing little songs."

After revealing his first word, Harry says "three syllables" before an impressed James replies: "That's a big word."
