Meghan Markle steps out in princess-perfect Oscar de la Renta dress at the Australian Geographic Society Awards

The Duchess of Sussex has donned an exquisite Oscar de la Renta cocktail dress for an awards ceremony in Sydney.

Just hours after touching down in Australia, Meghan had changed into her stunning designer gown to attend the Australian Geographic Society Gala Awards at the Shanghai-La hotel.

The dress, from the label's pre-fall 2018 collection featured, a delicate appliqué of bird silhouettes scattered across the layered mesh fabric. The main wow-factor, though, came from the billowing tulle skirt, which is by far Meghan's most princess-worthy moment to date.

The price of the dress is only available on request and is described on the the fashion house's website as a "white tulle gown with black bonded looped ribbon tweed laser cut birds."

The monochrome gown was perfectly complemented by Meghan's dark locks, which had been released from the tight ponytail she had been sporting throughout the day and fashioned into glamorous loose waves.

Meghan kept her makeup minimal, simply adding a swipe of bronzer to her cheeks.

The sartorial statement comes mere days after she made her state dinner debut wearing a regal caped blue gown.
