Meghan Markle 'steps away' from Prince Harry in career move that could make her millions

Meghan Markle is looking to work on projects alone without Prince Harry, according to reports.

The Duchess of Sussex is said to have her husband's full and unwavering support as she takes a "step away" from their joint brand to work on solo projects.

And the canny career move could see former Suits actress Meghan make millions of dollars for her young family. The cash boost would be very welcome to the couple whose $25million (£20million) deal with Spotify recently collapsed.

The unexpected blow of losing the Spotify deal is said to be inspiring the Duchess of Sussex to step away from her husband to establish her own brand and have a solo career separate from Harry.

In her first step towards a solo career, Meghan recently signed with Hollywood talent agency William Morris Endeavour. The top agency has represented major stars including Dwayne Johnson, Adele, and tennis player Serena Williams.

"Meghan feels she'll have better success if she takes the time to work on projects alone without Harry - even though he always gives her his full support," a source told Bella magazine.

And the source claims the new deal "is about making Meghan a power player in Hollywood" in her own right.

It comes after the couple have been carrying out more solo engagements and Harry even attended the King's coronation alone.

The career shift comes amid reports Meghan may be open to more commercial opportunities again.

She could be in with a chance of representing French fashion house Dior and her lifestyle blog The Tig could be making a comeback six years after she shut it down to enter royal life.

"She's already one of the most talked about and photographed people so maximising her profit and aligning herself with these brands is a very lucrative step," brand and culture expert Nick Ede said.

It's thought the Duchess could "command millions" of dollars by harnessing the power of her influence on fans and consumers.

And Harry is busy on his own projects as well. The royals is reportedly set to make his grand return to Africa for a new documentary with Netflix. He's said to be venturing into the project without his wife Meghan Markle, in the next phase of their $98million (£77million) deal with the world-famous streaming service.

The Mirror has contacted Meghan and Harry's representatives for comment.
