Meghan Markle says she'll dress Archie in England onesie for Rugby World Cup final

Meghan Markle has revealed she won't be jetting to Japan for the Rugby World Cup final and will be watching from home instead.

But the Duchess of Sussex told The Telegraph she's going to make sure Archie is dressed for the occasion in an England onesie.

While Meghan and Archie will be watching the match at Frogmore Cottage , Prince Harry will be in Japan cheering on his home side.

Eddie Jones' team will tackle South Africa in Yokohama in an attempt to win the Webb Ellis Trophy for the second time in their history.

The Duke of Sussex is the patron of the RFU [Rugby Football Union] and is a keen rugby fan - having previously been seen at a number of Six Nations and other international matches at Twickenham.

The Prince took to Instagram to congratulate England for their semi-final victory over New Zealand last weekend.

He added a brief personal message saying: “Wow, what a game of rugby! Another fantastic performance from our boys. Well done lads!

“You are making us all incredibly proud back home - bring on next week!”

And before the tournament in Japan, Harry, with baby Archie, posted an uplifting message to the England players.

“Alright lads, just wanted to wish you the best of luck for the World Cup,” Harry said. “When I saw you at Pennyhill Park you were all so in sync and this is certainly the best-prepared team we’ve had for many years thanks to the time that you’ve spent together.”

“I hope Eddie is fitting in well. Hope the humidity is not too bad, but you’ve got the whole country behind you, everyone is so pumped for this. It is definitely our year.”

“Make sure you bring it home. Most importantly, have fun, and also, Archie loves the shirt, so thank you, cheers!”

After Harry's Japan tip, the couple will take a six-week work break which is considered to be a test for a future move across the pond.

Royal commentator Phil Dampier told the Express: “It would be a disaster if Harry and Meghan quit and lived abroad – William and Kate would be devastated.

“Behind the scenes I’m told Kate is doing her best to bring everyone together and help Meghan.

“None of them want to let the Queen down so Kate is trying to patch things up in private.”

The couple are due to celebrate thanksgiving in Los Angeles with baby Archie and Meghan’s mother Doria Ragland.
