Since moving to the UK two years ago, the Duchess of Sussex has slowly established a network of friends she can trust.
Among these is one woman in particular, 40-year-old Izzy May, who has been described as Meghan's "rock".
Publicist Izzy is believed to have been introduced to the Duchess by their mutual friend, Soho House director Markus Anderson, MailOnline reports.
She even attended the Royal wedding with him last year, pitching up arm-in-arm, where she had the honour of being seated on the second row on the bride's side - putting her in front of Oprah and even Serena Williams.
Before royal life, Meghan frequently posted photos of hersel enjoying downtime with her close female friends, among which she counts Priyanka Chopra and Jessica Mulroney.
But according to the Mail, the extent of how close Meghan and Izzy have become has not emerged - until now.
Part of Izzy's appeal, it is reported, is that she doesn't engage with social media and refuses to use her royal connections to her advantage.
A source told the Mail: "Izzy is one of Meghan’s dearest and closest friends and she values her friendship so very much. Izzy keeps their relationship really quiet and very much under the radar.
"The time they spend together is private. She helped Meghan adjust to life in London when she moved here from Canada.
"Meghan relied on her a lot. They are just like any two young female friends. They totally support one another and enjoy lots of social activities together."
In 2011, Izzy moved into the role of head of communications at Burberry, moving last year to David Beckham's company, DB Ventures, where a key part of her role is helping him launch a football team in Miami.
Despite her connections, Izzy is said to be determined to not be dragged down in the sort of cashing-in controversies which other people in Meghan's life have found themselves in.
