Meghan Markle's pal told take down 'damaging' photos of Duchess in her jewellery

Meghan's Hollywood pal has been told to remove online photos of the Duchess of Sussex she was using to flog her personal jewellery business.

Jennifer Meyer, 42, was rapped by Buckingham Palace for using the images after providing Meghan with jewellery.

The Duchess, 38, has worn the pieces to major royal events over the year, which included revealing baby Archie to the world and meeting Archbishop Desmond Tutu.

A dozen images of Meghan on Meyer’s Instagram and the Jennifer Meyer Jewellery website attached with links to purchase the items have been removed, although at least one remained tonight.

A royal source said: “Jennifer Meyer has been told to remove the images and in no uncertain terms how damaging this could be for Meghan and the Royal Family.”

The designer boasted how she “can’t get enough” of Meghan wearing her jewellery.

In the past year, she has been snapped at least 10 times wearing the designs.

Ingrid Seward, editor-in-chief of Majesty Magazine, said: “Meghan has again blurred the line between celebrity and royalty.”

Jason Panudy, of PR experts Goldbug, said: “There can be little doubt Jennifer Meyer’s brand will benefit.”

Meyer, who was married to actor Tobey Maguire, became friends with the Duchess during her acting days.

She is also pals with Jennifer Aniston and Courteney Cox.

Meghan’s royal life has been beset with faux pas including a £300,000 baby shower thrown by her friends in New York.

She has broken protocol by signing autographs, taking selfies and allowing members of the public to kiss and hug her.

A senior Palace source confirmed Jennifer Meyer Jewellery was in breach of a non-disclosure agreement.

The firm did not respond to a request for comment.
