Meghan Markle's expletive nickname on Suits set after she noticed issue with food

Meghan Markle has had a number of nicknames over the years, bother before and after joining the Royal Family.

Her mum Doria Ragland calls her 'Flower', while Prince Charles is said to call his daughter-in-law 'Tungsten' because she's "tough and unbending" just like the super-tough metal.

But another old moniker has resurfaced, and it highlights Meghan's generosity towards people in need.

Royal expert Omid Scobie shared the sweet story on Vice's documentary Meghan Markle - Escaping The Crown.

When she was on set filming as Rachel Zane, Meghan noticed that lots of the food prepared for the cast and crew was going to waste at the end of the day - she decided to do something about it.

Omid explains: "Low and behold the foods suddenly starts being loaded into vans at the end of the day and being taken to nearby homeless shelters.

"That was where the nickname 'Meghan Gets Sh** Done came from on set."

Meghan was forced to give up her role as Rachel Zane on the hit TV show Suits when things got serious with Prince Harry.

However she remained close with her co-stars, including Gabriel Macht, Patrick J. Adams and Sarah Rafferty who were all invited to the couple's Royal Wedding.

Rachel and her on-screen husband Mike Ross, played by Adams, were written out of the show before Meghan announced her engagement.

Before becoming the Duchess of Sussex, Meghan also closed down all her social media and her hugely popular lifestyle blog The Tig.

It featured articles about fashion, travel, food, wine and charity work.

Before she closed the page, Meghan shared a goodbye message with fans.

She wrote: "After close to three beautiful years on this adventure with you, it's time to say goodbye to The Tig.

"What began as a passion project (my little engine that could) evolved into an amazing community of inspiration, support, fun and frivolity.

"You've made my days brighter and filled this experience with so much joy. Keep finding those Tig moments of discovery, keep laughing and taking risks, and keep being "the change you wish to see in the world."

"Above all, don't ever forget your worth - as I've told you time and time again: you, my sweet friend, you are enough.

"Thank you for everything."
