Meghan Markle's brother Thomas makes plea to meet baby Archie at christening

Meghan Markle's brother has made a plea to his sister to be invited to his nephew Archie's christening next month.

Thomas Markle Jr, 52, said it would be 'wonderful' if a family reunion could take place at the christening of Archie Harrison, the first child of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.

He said he understands that it will take time for Meghan, 37, to forgive father Thomas and the family after a series of 'betrayals', say the Daily Star.

He added: "I can't say whether I'm going to be invited, you know, I can't say if Meghan is going to say, 'okay, enough is enough and yes, I want my family back in my life'.

"That would be wonderful but I can't answer that question.

"Of course we all want to be there, because that is a big deal."

The former glazier said he is on a 'personal crusade' to better the family image, knowing it's going to be 'a slow, long process'.

Previously he predicted that the birth of Archie would 'heal the rifts' with the family and mentioned that his father had been seriously hurt by the row.

"We've been dragged through the gutter long enough. It's about time we get some peace in our lives," he stressed.

The former Suits actress has been accused of cutting off contact with her father and half-siblings after becoming involved with Prince Harry in 2016.
