A company with a similar name to fashion stylist Jessica Mulroney's charity registered a website known as 'sussexglobalcharities' last Wednesday, causing confusion.
The Shoebox Project Foundation, a company registered in the US state of North Carolina registered the site.
After reports claimed Mulroney had used her charity to claim the domain name, she tweeted a denial, writing it had "no affiliations or ties to our charity The Shoebox Project."
It comes after Harry and Meghan were told that they would no longer be able to use their Sussex Royal brand.

Earlier this year, Andrew Myer, Meghan's US business manager, told the Mail on Sunday that he had registered two websites - archefoundation.com and archefoundation.org - just eight days after the Duchess revealed she was pregnant in October, 2018.

Meanwhile, their lives as working royals will end on March 31 when they stop representing the Queen and become financially independent.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex hit back in a long statement in which they argued that neither the Queen nor the government owned the word 'royal' across the world.
Royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams said the declaration reflected how unhappy the couple were, according to Sun Online.
"The statement's underlying message is they are very, very unhappy with this arrrangment.," he said.
"It was completely unnecessary.
"If they are unhappy with this arrangement, one would hope it lasts the year until the review and hope that both sides are able to continue to co-exist in a reasonable and peaceful way."
